One of my favorite things about web design is learning about different industries, passions, and hobbies

I am sincerely interested in your interests and will ask you questions as if your interests are my own

You will be involved in the design

Collaboration produces the best result. Your ideas, and knowledge of your field, are important — and an asset to me as your designer

I create a live instance of the development version of your site so that you can watch as it is being created, and provide feedback

You will be able to edit your site (if you want)

Some people want the ability to add/remove/edit content

Some people want nothing to do with maintaining their website

I understand both sentiments. In any event, editing capabilities will be present

I won't leave you hanging

I create your website from scratch, using WordPress

I create it from scratch so that there are none of the design or functionality limitations inherent in pre-existing themes and drag-and-drop templates

I use WordPress because it provides a dashboard where you can edit the content of your site, and it allows me the freedom to create whatever we want

SEO is should be fundamental

I believe that SEO is one of the responsibilities of the web developer

Unfortunately, this isn't always the case

The very structure of a website's code, its content, and how its content is organized are a few of the aspects of a website that impact SEO

These SEO opportunities are either seized or missed depending on the developer's approach and knowledge of best practices and fundamentals

I seize those opportunities

My background is in user experience design, psychology, emerging media, and communications

In other words, I know how to build things for the internet, I know how people use things on the internet, and I know how to get a message across
